MICHAEL PARE, Detective Michael Turner

(Eddie and the Cruisers, Bloodrayne, Virgin Suicides)

Paré is internationally recognized for his work in films since his starring role in Eddie and the Cruisers. Born in 1959 to a French Canadian Father and an Irish American Mother, Michael was the eighth of ten children. A legendary Agent and Casting Director, Joyce Selznick discovered Michael while leading a nationwide talent search. Upon her first meeting with Michael, Sleznick intuited a talent and charisma that was endless.
Known for his good looks and trade mark raspy voice, Michael made his debut in television in 1981 with ABC’s hit show The Greatest American Hero, then steadily worked his way into film in 1983’s “Eddie and the Cruisers” which became a vehicle to his remarkable ascension to stardom in Hollywood.

He is well known for his roles in John Carpenter’s “Village of the Damned”, “Hope
Floats” with Sandra Bullock and the Sofia Coppola 2000 Sundance Festival favorite “The Virgin Suicides”. More recently he has been seen in the film adaptation of the best selling video game “BloodRayne” with Oscar winner Ben Kingsley. Michael’s current television credits include a guest starring role on Jerry Bruckheimer’s “Cold Case” and a recurring role on the Jennifer Lopez produced show “South Beach.”
